I came in crying and I am leaving with a smile on my face. That says a lot about how this workshop made me feel. I was devastated and breaking down, but just being able to freely interact through art and not talking about the problem was beautiful and very therapeutic.
Vasvi organized and led a group art therapy course at IIIT Delhi, where I was then a student. Over the months, I engaged deeply with the creative process, reflected on my emotions, and discovered new ways of expressing myself. The safe, thoughtful environment she created gave me the confidence to open up, connect with others, and uncover aspects of myself I hadn’t recognized before.
Through the sessions, I gradually became open to the idea of therapy—something I had previously been hesitant about. I also reconnected with a sense of childlike creativity and curiosity that I thought I had long outgrown. Rediscovering that part of myself was both liberating and deeply healing.
I credit Vasvi for guiding me through this journey. Her unwavering commitment, empathy, authenticity, and encouragement created a space where we felt safe to take risks, express ourselves honestly, and grow in ways we never imagined.
